DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to nyungwe national park
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be greeted by your safari guide and transferred to nyungwe national park. on arrival, check into the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in nyungwe forest
After an early breakfast, proceed to nyungwe national park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. embark on a guided trek through the dense rainforest to locate wild chimpanzees. Once located, witness their playful interactions, grooming and social behaviours in their natural habitat for one hour. After the trek, return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Nyungwe canopy walk and nature trails
Begin the day with breakfast, followed by a visit to nyungwe canopy walk. This 70-meter-high suspension bridge offers breathtaking panoramic views of the forest and its diverse wildlife. After return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on guided nature walks or birdwatching excursions in the park, spotting rare primates and exotic birds. After the nature walk, return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Cultural visit and transfer to lake Kivu
